Springboard Courses at DBS
Now accepting Applications for Spring 2014
Dublin Business School (DBS) in conjunction with the Higher Education Authority (HEA) under the Government Springboard initiative is providing the unemployed the opportunity to reskill or upskill for FREE under a range of approved and accredited courses identified as providing training that will improve the future skills of the labour force, in a range of sectors where sustainable employment is predicted to rise as the economy recovers.
DBS is offering 5 programmes across the areas of Information & Communications Technology (ICT), Cloud Computing,International Financial Services, Digital Marketing and Project Management as part of a further rollout of the Springboard initiative that was jointly launched on the 21st June 2013 by the Minister for Education and Skills, Ruairi Quinn together with the Minister of State for Training and Skills, Ciaran Cannon.
At the launch Minister Quinn stated “Springboard is providing a dynamic pipeline of job-ready graduates, with up to the minute skills and valuable qualifications for sectors of the Irish economy that are expanding and recruiting. This practical initiative, which is part of the Government's Action Plan for Jobs, is tailored to labour-market needs and designed to stimulate economic growth."
All courses are Special Purpose and Minor Awards across Levels 6, 7 & 8 on the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ). The courses are part-time, allowing students to keep social protection supports and making the transition to study easier for those with families and other responsibilities.
