DBS Accountancy Students Rank in Global top 10
|
The reputation of Irish Accountancy students on the international
accountancy scene has increased with the announcement that 23 ACCA and
CIMA students at Dublin Business School have been placed in the top 20
worldwide across all papers.When one considers that at the ACCA June 2009 examination
sitting 187,000 students sat the examination on a worldwide basis, the
above achievements by DBS students represents outstanding academic
performance. At a ceremony at the Westbury Hotel, Dublin Business
School (DBS) announced 55 student placings in the highly acclaimed
Professional School bringing the total so far in 2009 to 97 Prizes & Placings across all papers in the ACCA and CIMA examinations. In addition to the high ranking worldwide placings, 8
students achieved first in Ireland, and 13 students were placed in the
top ten in the World. Justine Ryan from Cong, Co Mayo achieved First
in Ireland and First in the World in the ACCA’s Diploma in Financial
Management programme which is an outstanding achievement. DBS has an
enviable reputation for the quality of their professional programmes.
Since it’s establishment in 1975, DBS has educated over 720
prize and place winning students at national and international levels. DBS was among the
first colleges in Ireland to be awarded Platinum Approved Learning
Partner status from ACCA - an award which provides independent
assurance that DBS meets the standards set down by ACCA.
