48 ACCA & CIMA Prizes and Placings Awarded to DBS Accountancy Students

Dublin Business School announced 48 ACCA and CIMA prizes and placings  in the recent professional accountancy examinations at  a ceremony held in Dublin’s Westbury Hotel in April. Daniela Heckmann  from Dublin received an outstanding 1st place in Ireland and 2nd place in the World in the ACCA P5 Advanced Performance Management Exam.  Considering that nearly 198,000 students sat the recent ACCA examinations globally, the prizes and placings awarded  to DBS Accountancy students represent no small achievement.

The ceremony was attended by Brendan Murtagh, ACCA Global President and former DBS graduate who commented on the students’ success. ‘The skills we have gained through our professional accountancy training are of paramount importance as economies prepare for recovery and future growth. In these tough conditions, we are seeing that private enterprises and public sector organisations are relying more than ever on the expertise of their accountants – at all levels of their structure – to help them navigate through difficult waters.’

DBS has a long standing reputation for the quality of its professional accountancy courses. Since 1975, DBS has educated  over 780 prize and place-winning students at a national and international level.  In addition to its professional accountancy programmes, DBS now offers a range of degree and masters programmes in accounting, management, business, marketing, psychology, counselling, media studies, journalism and social science.
