Celia O'Lochlainn graduated from DBS with a Diploma in Management Studies. She told us why DBS was the right place for her to undertake her studies.
"I chose the Management course as my Senior Management Team at work felt it would benefit me both personally and in my career progression as I deal with a growing team of business professionals across Ireland. My employer paid for me to attend as they felt so strongly about developing my business and management knowledge and felt DBS was the best fit for me. The fact the course took place in the evenings was ideal.
Apart from meeting people from many different backgrounds and forming new friendships I have also had to develop a student mentality all over again. It had been 8 years since I was in college and the adjustment was a real personal challenge for me but one which I ultimately really enjoyed. I found I was also learning practical information that I could implement straight into my everyday work.
I currently work in a Management role and I feel this diploma has enhanced my knowledge of my role and will allow me to develop quicker and help others on my team to do the same. I very much enjoyed the course and forgot how much I enjoy learning new concepts; I would recommend going back to college to anyone!”
