As the students get ready to finish up for Semester one, we celebrated Christmas early via Christmas Week, last week in the college.
There was a long list of events put on to get students and staff in the festive spirit. On Monday, there was a festive pool tournament, but the real fun started on Tuesday when the Christmas Team joined by the man of the moment, Santa Claus, assembled and brought Christmas cheer to the halls of DBS.
The team took the time to get around to as many students and staff as they could find, to find out their Christmas wishes for this year. We had a wide variety of ambitious wishes including holidays, sunshine, passing exams and Bruce Springsteen in a stocking. Santa and his special elves promised to do all they can to make these wishes come true once they keep themselves off the naughty list.
Wednesday, saw our Annual Christmas social event take place in Everleigh Gardens where students could relax among their peers to the backdrop of their favourite Christmas songs.
It’s not Christmas without Home Alone, so on Thursday we held a Home Alone movie marathon in the Castle House common room, with some festive treats for students to enjoy.
All in all Christmas Week was a huge success and put the entire college into the Christmas spirit, and we hope will send all our students in to the break in good spirit.
