Our tutors are actively engaged in consultancy and research and this feeds directly into your learning experience. Claire Devlin Claire Devlin has a degree in English from Queens University Belfast. She was appointed as a member of a multi-national working group looking at the effects of Drugs on young people, which was to guide decision-making in the EU in relation to drugs. After obtaining her Masters degree she became a partner in a management consultancy firm and has lectured in DBS in the field of corporate strategy and HRM since 1999. Michael Kealy Michael Kealy has been an Associate Lecturer with Dublin Business School for the past 15 years. He delivers to both professional accountancy and masters students in the subject disciplines of Financial Reporting and Financial Management. Previously a senior lending manager with First Active Plc., he is currently Managing Director of Diverco Ireland, an independent company that facilitates the sale or purchase of trading companies throughout Ireland. Bill Kirwan Bill Kirwan has taught with DBS for the past five years on both professional accountancy and masters programmes, where he has achieved noteworthy success in achieving a number of Irish and World winning places for students in the ACCA examinations. Prior to joining DBS he was Industrial Relations Specialist with Aer Rianta. Bill has extensive industry experience covering both specialist HR and Operational roles. Edward McConnon Edward McConnon is a qualified accountant (FCCA, FCPA), who holds a MSc (Mgmt.) from Trinity College Dublin. He has lectured regularly on HRM and Organisational Behaviour modules at postgraduate level in DBS since 1997. Prior to this, he directed the management development and career planning divisions in Eircom and has lead consultancy assignments on behalf of Eircom in Uganda and Bulgaria. Sinead O’Brien Sinead O’Brien has over eighteen years experience in the education sector. A graduate of the DIT she has been with DBS since 1989. As Head of Postgraduate Business Programmes, she has expanded the portfolio of Masters Programmes through collaboration with Liverpool John Moores University. Sinead has worked as a consultant in devising and implementing Strategic Human Resource Management projects in the private, public and voluntary sectors. Patrick O’Callaghan Patrick is an Internet and mobile communications consultant and founder of Paveto, a software consulting and development firm. Patrick qualified in Computer Engineering from the University of Limerick, studied International Marketing with Open University and has an MBA from London City University. In addition to DBS, he also researches, publishes and lectures on business, the Internet, communications and electronic business at the Smurfit Graduate School of UCD. Paul Taaffe Paul Taaffe works for a major Irish telecommunications company. Holding a masters degree from the University of Limerick and a primary degree from the Irish Management Institute, He also attained Project Management Professional accreditation from the Project Management Institute in the U.S.A. As an associate lecturer with Dublin Business School he lectures to both professional and postgraduate students in both Managing Operations and Project Management subject areas.
