Human Resource Management Diploma Overview

Programme Aims and Objectives
Aims
This HR Management course provides a very effective practical overview of the latest thinking and case developments in HRM in order to provide both a conceptual and practical basis for student learning. The programme is highly interactive, the enjoyment of class discussion by students being a major feature of the programme.
Objectives
On completion of the programme students should have acquired the skills to:

Provide learners with an understanding of Human Resource Management principles and functions.

Appreciate the strategic and operational significance of modern HRM.

Appraise the key factors to drive motivation through performance management.

Analyse the key role of HR in organisational communication and in implementing change programmes.

Explore current trends and the impact of technology.
Assessment
To meet the requirements of the Diploma in Human Resource Management, students will be required to complete two assignments (50% each) for the year-long Diploma. Students enrolled in the 12-week intensive programme will have to complete a written assignment (50%) and an exam (50%).
Please note this programme is not on the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ).
