DBS Awarded Athena SWAN Bronze Accreditation
We are delighted to share the exciting news that DBS has been awarded the prestigious Athena SWAN Bronze Award! This significant milestone reflects our deep commitment to advancing gender equality and fostering a culture of representation, progression, and success across our institution. This award demonstrates DBS’s commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion.
Our application was submitted on November 19, 2024, and we received official confirmation of our award on December 13, 2024. The Bronze Award is valid until November 2029, meaning the action plan covers the 2024-2029 period.

What is Athena SWAN?
Athena SWAN, established by the UK Equality Challenge Unit in 2005, is an internationally recognized framework and accreditation scheme. It celebrates best practices in promoting gender equality across higher education and research institutions. We are incredibly proud to be the first fully private higher education institute in Ireland to embark on and succeed in this journey.
