DBS is delighted to launch a suite of new Professional Diplomas across a range of areas from Cloud Computing and Fintech to Emotional Intelligence and Negotiation. Commencing in September 2020, these contemporary Professional Diplomas are designed by industry professionals to meet the training needs of employers in the relevant sectors. DBS has recognised the need to address skills gaps for employers by introducing more specialised Professional Diploma courses, tooling up DBS graduates to tap into growing and in-demand job sectors such as Data Analytics and Cybersecurity. The practical and hands-on courses have been designed in direct consultation with employers, and will be delivered on a part time basis to provide flexibility to students while upskilling.
The Professional Diplomas programme length varies from 10 weeks to one year depending on the specific subject area. Graduates of these programmes will enhance their competence by adding relevant knowledge, understanding and skills enabling them to stand out in a competitive jobs market. The Professional Diplomas will use teaching, learning and assessment approaches such as small group teaching, academic writing and summative examination assessments.
