The DBS Student Awards Night 2019 took place earlier this month at the Ballsbridge Hotel. This annual event celebrates all of the student success stories throughout the 2018/19 academic year, with this years theme being ‘Above and Beyond’. This year we had massive success within our sports clubs, societies and incredible staff and student events too. This great night also gives our students the opportunity to get together with our faculty to celebrate a successful academic year before the start of summer exams.
The evening started with a welcome drink on arrival and an opportunity for our guests to take photos with our beautiful flower wall , followed by a 4 course meal in a formal dinner setting. The night was sprung into action with a live performance from The DBS Music Society preceded by the most important part of the evening; the Student Awards 2019 ceremony. There were winners in categories such as ‘Society of the Year’, ‘Sports Club of the Year’ and ‘Student of the Year’.
The night ended with another live performance, this time from local legends Riff Shop, who put on an energetic set. After a lot of dancing, the night drew to a close and our students headed off to the after party in Everleigh nightclub.
