Malaysian Society Games Night 2018

Afeera Musa, President of the Malaysian Society at DBS, told us all about the recent Games Night held in Castle House. 

Last Friday night the Malaysian Society held a mini Games Night in the common room in Castle House. The event had a great turn out and it was so refreshing to meet new people. On the night we played a variety of games, including FIFA, Jeronimo, ping-pong and pool, whilst others were just mingling and catching up. The event was created with the intention to gather Malaysian students together and it almost felt like home. The food was great, we had our famous ‘Nasi Lemak’ and pizza! Seeing everyone laughing and smiling knowing their exams were less than a week away really proved the whole event was a success.

We spent hours playing truth or dare using the Jenga blocks, breaking ankles for Twister, and of course getting to know each other better. This was a good opportunity to get to know Malaysian students from other programmes, and their reactions were priceless. This event came at an ideal time for ACCA students who needed to de-stress from their upcoming exams in December 2018 and has fulfilled our aim of strengthening the bonds between Malaysian students throughout all programmes. We look forward to many more events like this in the future!
