DBS has been named the winner of the top award at the National Education Awards 2018 for Overall Excellence in Education. The prizes were awarded at a Black Tie gala dinner in the Ballsbridge Hotel in Dublin on 19th April. DBS had been nominated in 5 categories, picking up the award for Best College of Business along with the overall prize.
The overall award recognises the general excellence of DBS as an education provider, a fact also reflected in our nomination in no less than 5 categories on the night - for best College of Business, Library Team, Student Experience, Student Campus and the Career Impact Strategy Award. While we couldn't take home all five awards, the achievement of being shortlisted in such a broad range of categories demonstrated the quality and breadth of a DBS education and the high standards that we adhere to.
Cliona O'Beirne, Director of Marketing and Admissions attended the ceremony and was delighted with the result: "We're thrilled to have won these two awards which recognise the hard work and effort of everyone at DBS. Winning the overall prize for excellence in education was a fantastic end to a great evening and I'm delighted for all of my colleagues who contributed to this achievement."
The outcome of the 2018 awards means that DBS continues a strong track record for success at the Education Awards, having also won two awards in 2017, for Best Student Experience and Best Library Team.
