Come along this Thursday and take in the spectacular sights of the Wild Atlantic Way, famous for its breathtaking scenery and hailed as one of Ireland’s top tourist attractions.

Surf Trip

What to expect from the trip?

Apart from the obvious surfing involved, there are lots of other fun activities planned for the trip, including cliff jumping, cave climbing, a social night with live music, and a fantastic BBQ party on the Saturday to round off the trip. For those of you who are feeling brave on the Sunday you can enjoy more surf lessons in the morning before departing back to Dublin.

What should I bring?

You will be staying over for three nights so pack whatever you normally would for a weekend trip away. Make sure to bring comfortable clothing and appropriate footwear to take part in the more adventurous parts of the weekend. Wetsuits and surfboards will be provided so there is no need to go making any extravagant purchases for the trip.

What if I can’t surf?

Don’t worry, most people on the trip will be total beginners, so you will be in good company. The surf lessons are designed to suit people of all levels, so whether you plan on riding the waves or clinging for dear life onto your board, there is no need to worry. Learning is half the fun (as is falling!).

If you are interested in coming along, you have until Wednesday, February 7th at 3pm to sign up. The trip costs €130, which covers your accommodation, breakfast each day, your transport to and from Donegal and all of the activities. It’s going to be a great weekend, so drop into the Student Experience office today to sign yourself up.
