Having won our ‘Day at the Embassy’ competition, Greta Santi, who just completed her semester abroad at DBS, got to spend the day at the Embassy of Chile. Extremely grateful for the opportunity, Greta had some lovely things to say about the experience where she got to make some very special memories..
“Thanks to my Spanish lecturer Carmen's collaboration with the Embassy, I had the opportunity to visit the ambassador and the diplomats on a regular day of work after winning a module contest.
It was an incredible experience, since I had the chance to see with my own eyes the role that an Embassy covers and how many responsibilities it has.
I was introduced to all the diplomats working there and then I attended the usual weekly meeting during which all the members of the Embassy sit together to discuss topics of importance.
I want to thank Carmen because I know how much of a committed lecturer she is and the amount of effort she puts into extracurricular activities besides the module content. In my opinion, to create such opportunities is exactly what motivates students to do more and to dedicate themselves fully to the subject they study.
I'll never forget that day and I value every moment spent at the Embassy of Chile.”
