DBS Event Operations students spent a masterclass with TV3’s Gadget Guy, Colin Baker. The students were in for an exciting morning gaining insight into the latest technology in drones, including the recent launch of the drone known as the “Mavic”.

Marketing lecturer at DBS, Emma Olohan, had the following to say on the event;
“Emerging technology in event operations is a huge area exploding at the moment with various technologies such as drones, RFID, IBeacon etc.
Colin gave an insight into the latest drone launched the "Mavic". The future of drone uses, existing projects with coast guard, sports, marketing & live events, battery life and the drone smart tech behind this growing technology were discussed. Students saw the drone in action and got to land it and drive it.
To say the class was an exciting one is an understatement... we were like kids in a candy bar!”
