Liam McFadden recently completed a Master of Business Administration in Finance with DBS. Below are his views on the course.
I had been considering studying for an MBA for a couple of years and after undertaking some research I saw that the DBS MBA was very highly rated and had received very good feedback. Having qualified as an Accountant in 2007, I realized I was only being seen as an Accountant in work and not a potential senior manager in the company.
The feedback coming through in annual reviews was that a more rounded business qualification would really benefit me and help me progress to the next level in my career and into more senior positions.
I am currently in corporate bank lending, dealing with a very international list of clients and colleagues and this qualification will certainly strengthen my abilities when working with these partners and also ensure that I’m seen as a highly qualified member of the company, both academically and professionally.
The 2 year part time course has been thoroughly enjoyable and challenging and I genuinely feel that I have developed a lot, both academically and professionally.
The course material was really excellent and was delivered by lecturers of the highest standards.
The course was a fantastic blend of academic material and real life financial and business material. The opportunity to interact and contribute to the class was something that really benefited me and added that extra value to the course.
