DBS Badminton Club is one of the most popular clubs in DBS and is in the lucky position of having enjoyed some great successes over the last number of years. Aiming to win silverware in this years campaign, the team participates in the Student Sport Ireland National Badminton League.
Training every Wednesday, from 16.30 - 18.00 in Swan Leisure, Rathmines, students in the club are divided in to three groups – Beginners, Intermediate and Elite (Competitive Team), so players can go from learning the basics to perfecting their skills. Players play with people of similar ability, although there’s always room to move up the ranks. Training sessions are always busy and students really enjoy the buzzing atmosphere created once training starts. Players are encouraged to be organised and train smart during each session; while also gaining a better understanding of the necessary technical and tactical elements of the sport.
