Didn’t get the results you wanted?

Tip no 1
Deep breath! Once next Monday’s offers are made, you have a week to accept a place, either online or by post. So you will have time to think it through.

Tip no 2
Remember! You won’t be disqualified from other offers if you accept or refuse any offer you get next Monday.  You’ll still be offered any other place that becomes available higher up your order of preference.

Tip no 3
Get help! If you want to appeal your any grade, the State Examinations Commission is there to help. You have till next Tuesday to request a review. If you need advice in a hurry, The Irish Independent’s helpline number is 1800 265 165 and the Irish Times’ Results Helpdesk is at irishtimes.com/results/2015

Tip no 4
Don’t drift! Don’t wander into a course you don’t really want to do just because you happen to have enough points for it.  See if your subject is being offered at an independent college.

Tip no 5
Consider your options. DBS, Ireland’s largest independent college, is hosting an Open Evening at Aungier Street this Tuesday, 18th of August. Pop by from 5-7pm to find out more about our courses.
