ELEVEN AT DBS | BREAKFAST BRIEFING WITH SPECIAL GUEST MATT COOPER

ELEVEN kicked off with an exclusive invite-only breakfast hosted by Matt Cooper and Milo-Arne Wilkinson. They were joined by 15 esteemed industry leaders including Minister for State; Mary Mitchell O'Connor, Chief Executive of Mental Health Commission; John Farrelly, and CEO at the Dublin Chamber of Commerce, Mary Rose Burke.

Guests were invited to participate as hosts opened a discussion on leadership and navigating the challenges of four generations working together in the workplace. Invitees spanned multiple generations and industry; a diverse representation creating an environment for compelling conversation.

"Everyone belongs to a generation. By generation, I mean a period of time bookended by events or economic developments that impact on the culture we experience. This culture influences our beliefs and sense of identity. Each generation contains the seeds that will give rise to the subsequent one" Wilkinson explained.

"For the first time ever, we have 4 generations in the workforce right now. Power is cascading to the young with a continuing reliance on digital intelligence. The leadership that has worked in the past is now no longer fit for these challenges" she added.

The ELEVEN programme was developed to meet the challenge of not just this kind of complexity of generational world views but also, crucially, rapid change and uncertainty.

Business leadership has evolved and those who lead must evolve with it. This programme is designed to make leaders the best that they can be. ELEVEN brings together both Irish and global thought leaders from the areas of psychotherapy, psychology, and business leadership to create something truly innovative and unique.
