Springbaord+ and HCI courses starting in September 2020 at DBS

Springboard+ 2020

Dublin Business School (DBS) is delighted to announce that in conjunction with the Higher Education Authority (HEA) as part of the Springboard+ 2020/21 initiative, we are offering a number of Government funded Springboard+ programmes. All programmes are fully accredited by Quality & Qualifications Ireland (QQI) and span Levels 7 & 8 on the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ). These courses are either 100% or 90% free for eligible participants.

A range of part-time programmes are on offer including Fund Accounting, Big Data, RegTech, FinTech, Software Development, Web & Cloud Technologies and DevOps. These courses will run on a part-time basis in the evening. In addition to the above courses, under Pillar One of the Human Capital Initiative (HCI), DBS is also offering incentivised places for working and recent graduates in areas of skills shortages and emerging technologies such as Digital Marketing, Aviation Finance, and Mobile Applications via graduate conversion courses. The HCI Pillar 1 programmes are fully funded for people receiving various accepted Social Welfare payments and homemakers, and are 90% funded for those in employment and recent graduates.These programmes will run on a full-time basis during the day.

HCI addresses the aims of the National Skills Strategy 2025, to improve the relevance of skills provision to society and the economy; provide more effective engagement with employers in skills development; increase lifelong learning; enhance the quality of teaching and learning; develop participation in education and training and the labour market; and increase skills supply.

Eligibility and academic entry requirements are as listed on Applications are currently being accepted. Due to the limited number of places available, early application is recommended. Courses are free for people receiving the various accepted Social Welfare payments or who are homemakers. For applicants in employment or recent graduates there will be a fee of 10% of the contribution to the normal course fee.
