Our approachable and friendly staff are here to support you during your time at DBS.
The Library occupies the 2nd floor of the Aungier Street campus and has extensive opening hours.
To enhance the learning experience, the Library uses a wide variety of information technologies. In addition to its print collection of over 50,000 books and 34 print journals, the Library also provides access to a large collection of eBooks, 45,000 full-text e-journals and an extensive portfolio of subscribed online resources which can be accessed from anywhere in the world. Full-text final year projects and dissertations are also available via the institutional repository eSource. Other popular technologies include the instant messaging Ask-a-Librarian service, assignment planning and reading list software. The Library is Wi-Fi enabled with bookable PCs and group study rooms. Printing, scanning and photocopying facilities are also available.
As librarians we know that navigating today’s information world can be confusing and intimidating, so we offer a programme of classes on searching for information, essay writing and more that are tailored to your needs. The Library has analysed student interaction with library staff and library services/ resources. Students who avail of library support achieve better marks. So do come in and take a look. We look forward to supporting you during your studies.
