Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI) Annual Conference

 

Psychology staff and graduates of DBS attended and delivered poster and oral presentations at the 40th Annual Conference of the Psychological Society of Ireland in the Sheraton Hotel, Athlone, Thursday to Sunday 14th November 2010.  This year’s conference marked the 40th Anniversary of the society, with 400 delegates attending the conference.  

This year’s student poster award was awarded to DBS graduates Nicklas Larsson and Caroline Connor for their paper entitled “The majority and minority of a stigmatized group: A study of people living with HIV in Ireland.”

Furthermore, Dr Ciarán Mc Mahon paper on “Facebook and Psychology: A critical review of the research to date” received much media attention in the form of print and radio.
