As part of their assessment for the BA (Hons) Marketing with Event Management degree programme, groups of students from the second year full-time and part-time classes have collectively raised over €17,000  this year for charities including the Irish Cancer Society, Make a Wish Foundation, Temple Street Hospital, Barnardos, the Marie Keating Foundation, Dublin Simon Community, the Diabetes Federation of Ireland and the Martin Whitehead Hospice. An Event Company was formed for each group and roles were delegated as per industry, while lecturers interviewed for the positions of CEO, Financial Controller etc. Sell-out events organised included a Comedy Night, Band Nights, Table Quiz, ‘Christmas Craicer’ Ball and the annual DBS Fashion Show.
