What our Students say

Carolann McNerney

BA (Hons) Arts

“My time in Dublin Business School has been a journey of education, entertainment and above all self-evaluation. I have learned a lot during my four years here. Having obtained a Certificate in Cultural studies in the summer of 2005, I went on to further my education with an Arts Degree Course. First year offered me a wide and varied range of subjects from Psychoanalysis to Economics and everything in between. It was from there my interest in drama and media studies flourished, thus majoring in Media Studies and Drama and Literature was the perfect choice for me. The course gave me the freedom to be creative in my approach to learning. My final year was by far the most challenging but also the most rewarding. As I walk away from Dublin Business School with a Certificate in one hand and an Honours Degree in the other, feel slightly humbled that I didn’t fully appreciate my college days. Dublin Business School has taught me a lot over the last four years and introduced me to some great people along the way.”

Rachel McGovern

Higher Certificate in Business

“I have been studying in Dublin Business School for the past two years. Through the guidance of the lecturers, students have become more interactive in class which helps enable students to learn from one another and to develop invaluable organisational, teamwork and leadership skills. Studying at Dublin Business School has opened up a wide range of career possibilities for me. The Higher Certificate was a great stepping stone for me and having enjoyed my certificate business programme so much, I decided to continue, and am currently studying for a BA (Hons) in Business Studies.”

Ming Li

BA (Hons) Accounting & Finance

“I transferred to Dublin Business School in 2006 and graduated in 2008 with a first class Honours Degree in Accounting & Finance. DBS was a great choice for me in terms of both my professional career and personal life. The course is very specialised and covers all accounting related areas. I would like to specially commend all my lecturers who are so knowledgeable, experienced, responsible and focused on personal development. I am currently working for PricewaterhouseCoopers – one of the ‘Big Four’ accounting practices, while studying towards achieving the Chartered Accountant Qualification. Having an Accounting and Finance degree from DBS gave me maximum exemptions from the professional exams which gave me a great head start. I would definitely advise anyone who has interest in accounting and is looking for a highly recognised degree to choose DBS!”

Tom Foster

BA (Hons) in Journalism

“The things I remember most fondly from college are the friends I’ve made and all the good times that came with it. The small class size of DBS means that making friends can be easy and you are always certain to meet a familiar face in every part of the college. It helps students to get the most out of classes and makes interaction with lecturers very easy. I found the lecturers very accessible and available to provide support whenever it was needed. The Journalism course provided by DBS was of a very high standard. As well as learning important journalistic skills, the course also covered a wide range of arts subjects, helping us to achieve a greater understanding of journalism and general media.”

Jan O’Leary

BA (Hons) Psychology

“My time at DBS has been a thoroughly enjoyable experience. The overall environment is excellent here - both academically and socially. If a student encounters a problem, there is always a lecturer or staff member who is willing to help. The College is located in Dublin’s city centre with everything that any student needs right on their doorstep. Furthermore DBS has its very own Student Services which organises many nights out - the perfect way to let the hair down after a busy day in college.”
