Prior to lecturing full-time, James gained valuable commercial accountancy experience in a range of roles from public practice to multi-national industry. James is an expert in his chosen fields of financial reporting and management accounting and has been preparing students for professional accountancy exams for 18 years. All this experience means that James knows what you need to pass the exam.

Exam success requires work in class, study at home, a bit of luck on the day and the secret ingredient: the game-plan. James will help you develop your personal game-plan for passing each paper in a way that makes the subject come alive. James has taught many prize winning students including a first place in the world, and his students have consistently achieved high pass rates. However, his teaching style is focused on ensuring all students are given the knowledge and techniques they need to achieve at least that magic 50%!

To develop knowledge and skills in understanding and applying accounting standards and the theoretical framework in the preparation of financial statements of entities, including groups and how to analyse and interpret those financial statements.

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

 

To apply knowledge, skills and exercise professional judgement in the application and evaluation of financial reporting principles and practices in a range of business contexts and situations.
